"Daddy's Milk" is a diversion from my usual monochrome aesthetic, instead utilising a rich deep yellow mounting board to display the piece. It forms part of the 2026 RAW collection which sees my usual steelwork left with a raw finish as opposed to my usual black matt finish.
This piece is unique in that its creation is documented on the reverse side of the mount board. Previous pieces have been created using a separate hand-drawn template on cardboard. This piece however, was created by drawing the template directly on to the mount board, and you can clearly see the burn marks from the welding process for each stage of its assembly. I like how the finished piece and its journey become self-contained in one form. It features red vintage leather, alongside the signature black leather which contrast well with the raw steel finish. Unlike previous works, this collection incorporates a permanent backing board, which means it can be displayed in any location.
